Georgina Cassels

Georgina Cassels is an experienced aerial artist and performer, based in Budapest, with a rich history in circus arts. She has performed extensively across Europe, participating in renowned festivals and events, such as the Roztoc Festival in Prague, Capital Circus of Hungary in Budapest, and the Terminal Festival in Italy. Her expertise includes a variety of aerial disciplines such as Corde-Lisse, Straps, Duo Rope, Tipi, and Tissu.

Her recent performance credits include solo acts like “Indigo” at the MUCH Festival and the Capital Circus of Budapest and ensemble performances, such as with One Thousand Faces. Georgina's performance of “Konstrukt” by Cirkus Kolektiv at the Cirkuliacija Festival in Lithuania highlights her dedication to contemporary circus arts. She has worked with companies like Circus Suburbia in London and Firebirds Production in Budapest, consistently pushing the boundaries of aerial performance.

In addition to her performance career, Georgina is a passionate educator, having taught vertical aerial technique and straps workshops at international venues, including CirkusFera in Belgrade and Cirkuskus in Slovakia. Since 2023, she has been teaching vertical aerial classes at Inspiral Circus Centre in Budapest, sharing her vast knowledge and technique with aspiring aerialists.

Her academic background in circus arts comes from the prestigious National Centre for Circus Arts in London, where she earned her foundation degree. Furthermore, she is a certified Pilates instructor, enhancing her understanding of body mechanics and movement, which benefits both her performances and her students.

Georgina's work has garnered recognition, including awards at Cyrkulacje Eastern European Contemporary Circus Festival. She continues to grow her artistic expression through residencies, collaborations, and participation in the New Horizons Leadership Program.
