Born in the Spacial Circus of Brazil just over thirty years ago, where his father, Claudio, worked as a presenter, Peterson Luiz Jardim emerged from a long line of circus performers.
His passion for bringing smiles led him to refine his comedy skills, studying at the Circus Academy of Brazil (2005-06), Performing Arts at the Paulista School of Arts in Sao Paulo (2006-07), and undertaking stages with the clown Maks Annaev (Golden Elephant, 2013). Through this journey, he has developed a distinctive style of physical comedy, blending elements of the traditional Carioca clown, American slapstick, and the Soviet clowning tradition.
His breakthrough came at the inaugural edition of the Cirque International Festival of Brazil Contest, part of the Sao Paulo Circus Festival organized by Jefferson Alexander. He further showcased his talent at the clown festival held last autumn at the prestigious Ciniselli Circus in St. Petersburg. With extraordinary elegance in the ring, his mime seamlessly intertwines with juggling acts to captivate audiences of all ages.
Over his two-decade career, Peterson has performed with renowned companies from six countries: Moscow State Circus (United States, 2007-08), Cirque USA (United States, 2008), Cirque Dreams (United States and Canada, 2009-11), Cirque Polynesia (United States, 2012), Cirque Inosta (Mexico, 2012), Circo Spacial (Brazil, 2013-15), and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi Park (United Arab Emirates, 2016 to present).
