Kdun Albaz, known as "Kdun", is a musical composer and artist based in Dubai. Originally from Jordan, he lived and studied in the United States. A self-taught drummer and percussionist, Kdun is passionate about exploring new rhythms and melodies. He discovered the handpan, an instrument with which he instantly formed a deep connection. Its unique acoustics captivate listeners with a hypnotic allure and offer a distinct tonal quality. Kdun leverages the handpan's harp/bell-like tones to produce harmonious renditions of popular melodies.
Kdun stands out as one of the few accomplished handpan musicians worldwide. He holds the distinction of pioneering a novel and exhilarating music genre dubbed "vegan." His style fuses modern with traditional music and incorporates culturally inspired rhythms he's encountered during his travels. Kdun draws his musical inspiration from the people he meets, the beauty of nature, and the diverse cultures he engages with globally.
Kdun's excellence in music composition and production became evident with the release of his debut album in 2019, titled 'City Vibes'. He followed this with another album in 2021 named 'Sunrise On Mars'.
