About Valeria Jauregui

Born in Mexico City in 1994. At the early age of 11, she got interested on gymnastics which later developed in an interest for aerial silk. 

She discovers juggling at the age of 16 but it’s not until 3 years later that she begins a serious juggling formation instructed by Raul Canaz specializing in juggling and antipodism. 

This formation has been complemented at several circus spaces in Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Portugal and England. She has performed in some of the most important theaters in Mexico such as Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris, Teatro Julio Castillo, Teatro Raul Flores Canelo, etc. as well as performing her foot juggling act in over 10 countries including England, Norway, Lebanon, China, Cuba, etc. She was part of the cast in the show “Cirkunia” (directed by Jorge Diaz and Rob Tannion) touring with it around Mexico and is recently part of the cast in the show "Smashed2" by world renown juggling company Gandini Juggling. She was supported with the scholarship “Creadores Escenicos 2017” by Mexico’s National Fund for Culture and Arts FONCA thanks to her foot juggling project “Hunch”. 

She was also supported with artistic residencies in Portugal, England, Turkey and Spain. She worked as circus tutor inside the program “Initiation to Circus and Street Arts” at Mexico’s National Center of Arts, she was head of tutors and  program developer of Out There Art's circus school “Drillaz Circus School" and is currently head coach at East Anglia Gymnastics. 

She participated in the 17th International Circus Festival Circuba 2018 and in the International Juggling Association Regional Competition 2018 wining the first place.
