URBANITE MAGAZINE, LEIPZIG, GERMANY - April 8, 2020
“The crowning glory is provided by Ottavio and Naomi of Crossbow Stunts. They shoot in a risky way crossing arrows with their crossbows through the audience and hit apples with pinpoint accuracy.”

FORBES - June 28, 2019
“a sensuous couple that likes shooting crossbows at each other.”

HERALD-TRIBUNE - June 21, 2018
“Some people in Wednesday’s audience briefly covered their eyes during the act of Mr. and Mrs. G., who fire crossbows at each other while holding various targets, from an inflated balloon to heart-shaped papers and playing cards. They perform with a lot of flair and keen precision in hitting each target safely.”

SPECTACLE MAGAZINE - June 14, 2018
“Seen close up as they are in this intimate setting Mr. and Mrs G., crossbow artists, present their dangerous act with a greater flare for theatrics than most such artists usually put forth. Their dancing and poses enhance the performance as they take turns serving as the other’s target, always with an enormous supply of pizazz.”

DRESDENER, Dresden, Germany - December 3, 2017
“high-class artistic and sporting performances. For this are Mr. & Mrs. G. (hochklassige artistische und sportliche Darbietungen. Dafür sind Mr. & Mrs. G.)”

JAVA POST, SURABAYA, INDONESIA - December 26, 2016
“The atmosphere was suddenly silent. Spectators were tense and anxious when Naomi was about to launch the arrow. One spectator closes her eyes in fear. But, some are still watching with tense faces. A few seconds after that, the tense atmosphere is instantly transformed into festive applause from the audience. "Hooray," the audience cheers when the arrow falls right on target without injuring the player's body.”

CITY GUIDE MACAU - March 31, 2016
“The crowd was also left in awe of the crossbow-wielding wizardry of Mr. & Mrs. G., a.k.a. Ottavio and Naomi – seasoned professionals with uncanny accuracy and a flair for the dramatic.”

LAS VEGAS REVIEW JOURNAL - June 10, 2011
“It's fun to watch Gesmundo and spouse Naomi engage in the foreplay of shooting balloons attached to one another's body parts”

THE LAS VEGAS SUN - May 25, 2010
“The scene in which crossbow artist Ottavio Gesmundo fired arrows through inflated balloons covering performing partner Naomi was worth the admission price on its own."

THE BOSTON GLOBE - November 7, 2002
"STUNTS PROPEL THIS SPIDER-MAN"  " the production itself, with its special effects and acrobatic fight scenes, is pretty cool." "But the best effects are the slickly choreographed fight stunts - mostly fight scenes. Ottavio Gesmundo  guides three superbly trained Spider-Men and various other henchmen, in a dizzying catalog of somersaults, flips, twists, leaps and falls. The fight combine moves from the martial arts with WWF antics, and they look persuasive when combined with a soundtrack of thumps and thwacks."

VARIETY - November 19, 2002
“a high-flying action-heavy production based on the Marvel comic book superhero."  "Primarily a combo of gymnastics, aerial acrobatics, martial arts and carefully choreographed wrestling and street fighting, plus a lot of explosions and crashes”

CHICAGO TRIBUNE - January 16, 2003
“PACKED WITH THRILLS"  "you'll get lots of gymnastic stunts and well-orchestrated hand-to-hand combat all choreographed by Ottavio Gesmundo.”

THE NEW YORK TIMES - February 8, 2003
“A HERO WITH LEGS” “This show doesn’t have any Hollywood heavyweights, but it does have lighter than air special effects: Spider-Man climbs walls, flies through space and during final moments swings over the heads of the audience, leaving fans like my son, Mathew, crying, Awesome!”
