For as long as I can remember, I have always thought of myself as a contortionist: as a child I enjoyed doing strange positions and, even when I started studying contemporary dance, what fascinated me most was the possibility of interpreting the characters I wanted through body shapes. For me, contortion is my language of expression, communication and artistic achievement.
The real step towards contortion came through the in-depth study of yoga and a trip to India, following which I dedicated myself to the study of contortion and the development of my personal style which I call contortionyoga, since it includes elements of yoga, dance and elements of circus tradition.
I like to think that my practice experience is the result of many experiences and I want this to continue to grow continuously with each project and collaboration. With commitment, perseverance, passion, love, imagination and a great curiosity for everything, I consider my artistic performances evolving with me.
I perform contortion both frontbending and backbending, so having the opportunity to offer, in the same evening, choreographies with completely different styles.
